Making a water resistant shoe is not easy. Several factors ensure that rain stays out. A special membrane is integrated into the upper material, acting as a barrier against rain. We also use a different type of stitching for our water resistant shoes, which helps make the shoes water resistant. If we only used a special membrane and not our special stitching, rain would seep through the stitching holes. Those water resistant shoes wouldn’t be very effective!

However, they won’t withstand extreme conditions. Say, standing in a puddle. Or crossing a river on foot. Maybe a bit extreme, but who says you won’t be doing this anytime soon?
